The new conditions require retailers to be more responsible when selling alcohol thus reducing the risk of alcohol related harm and anti-social behaviour resulting from binge drinking.
The priciples behind these conditions are in line with the requirements of Best Bar None and BBN is cited in the guide as Good Practice for licensees.
Evaluations have shown that Best Bar None can contribute to an average reduction in crime of between 15% & 35%, in Doncaster the venues participating in BBN have seen a reduction of 70%.
