THE ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR
All venues in the licensed trade are now covered by the above regulations, which are aimed at protecting staff who work in a noisy environment.
All licensees have a legal obligation to ensure that noise levels are set right and that other precautions are in place to prevent staff suffering from premature and permanent deafness.
To help you to make sure that licensee are able to carry out the appropriate risk assessments Doncaster
Councils Health and Safety Team, in conjunction with Best Bar None, are holding a FREE Noise at Work Awareness Workshop. This will give all the information needed to comply with this legislation and save money on expensive “consultants” who charge to carry out this work.
This free workshop will help to ensure that licensees are able to operate within the law thereby avoiding a hefty fine for none-compliance and also help to avoid “No Win No Fee” claims from staff with damaged hearing.
Speakers from the Health & Safety Laboratory, the Entertainment Industry and the Local Authority will be giving presentations, practical advice and guidance at the event which will be held at Keepmoat Stadium on the afternoon of Wednesday 5th May.
Please book early as places are limited.
