- We are the official charity of Hallam FM & Magic AM – Registered Charity No 1123108
- Set up in the 1970’s, we have raised millions to help disabled and disadvantaged children in the local area!
- Until recently we were called Help a Hallam Child
- Last year Doncaster Best Bar None raised almost £3000 for Help a Hallam Child
- Last year we raised over £350,000 and supported over 35,000 children
- Every penny raised stays in South Yorkshire and the North Midlands
- We rely on the generosity of listeners, local companies and other associates who proudly pledge their support annually
- We raise funds all year round through donation, tailor made company events, sporting events, balls, auctions, and individual sponsored events
- We aim to form long term partnerships with those who support our Charity, we provide ongoing advice, support and fundraising assistance
- The radio station very generously provide us with free office space, utility bills and infrastructure – these are generally the biggest outgoings for local charities
- The Hunter Foundation also underwrite some of the Charities other costs

Our charity supports 100’s of local charities, individual children, community groups, children’s hospitals and hospices – who all apply to us for grants.
Grants given include:-
- Communication aids for children with severe physical & learning disabilities
- A ventilator for Sheffield Children’s Hospital
- Educational and play equipment for community groups
- Funds for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice
- A voice communication unit for a severely disabled child at Greenacre School
- Funds for Northern General Burns Unit
- A computer for a child with cerebral palsy
- 50 Teaching assistants through our Read to Succeed project, who work in local primary schools with the most desperate need
